ISO 14064-1 Greenhouse Gas Emissions Verification Statement

JIAN YI (JYT) issued a Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventory Report on March 5, 2024, detailing the company's emissions from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023. The statement contains no significant discrepancies and accurately represents the GHG data and information to a level of reasonable assurance as agreed upon. The quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions and removals comply with the relevant requirements of ISO 14064-1:2018.

These processes have been evaluated and confirmed to comply with the occupational health and safety management standards required by the URS organization for the production of insulation materials used in electronic products and the sale of specialized adhesives for semiconductor components.

Waste Reduction

With our vision of a net-zero carbon future, we understand the importance of minimizing waste. The company conducts regular water quality testing, fully complying with national waste discharge standards. The treatment rate for general solid waste has reached 100%, and hazardous waste is disposed of by qualified suppliers.

Using 2022 as the baseline, the company continuously monitors various waste discharge indicators during daily operations, tracks and reports relevant data, and promptly controls abnormal variables. We are steadily progressing toward our waste reduction goals.

Annual Waste Reduction Goals

Short-Term Goal: Commit to reducing waste discharge by 10% by 2026 (starting from 2023, with an annual reduction of over 2.5% based on the 2022 baseline).

Long-Term Goal: Achieve a 30% reduction in waste discharge by 2036 (compared to the 2022 baseline).

To achieve these goals, JIAN YI (JYT) utilizes low-carbon building materials, enhances energy efficiency while ensuring operational effectiveness, and deploys more renewable energy solutions.

Waste Management
Starting from the 2022 baseline, JYT monitors a series of waste discharge indicators daily. We continuously track and report these metrics, promptly managing and controlling any abnormal variables. Our short-term goal is to reduce waste discharge by 10% by 2026 compared to 2022 levels. Looking ahead, our long-term goal is to achieve a 30% reduction by 2036, reaching the levels recorded in 2022.

JIAN YI (JYT) Waste Management Practices:
1.Wastewater Management: JYT has achieved a 100% compliance rate for wastewater and production effluent discharge. Regular water quality tests ensure compliance with national discharge standards.
2.Solid Waste Management: Management of general solid waste adheres to regulatory requirements, maintaining a perfect disposal compliance rate.

Key Measures:
1.Wastewater Systems:
The production facility separates rainwater and sewage as well as cleaning water and wastewater. Collected rainwater is discharged into nearby rivers through designated rainwater pipelines.
Domestic wastewater is discharged separately via the municipal sewage network to the Jinxi Wastewater Treatment Plant, where it is treated to standard levels before being discharged into the port.
2.Solid Waste Disposal:
Engineering waste, general packaging materials, and discarded targets are outsourced to qualified solid waste treatment companies for comprehensive utilization.
Household waste is collected and transported by the environmental sanitation department.

Hazardous Waste Management
JYT has dedicated hazardous waste storage facilities with measures to prevent rainwater infiltration, leakage, and spillage. The facilities are equipped with identification markings that meet the standards outlined in the Hazardous Waste Storage Pollution Control Standards (GB18597-2001).
Hazardous waste is always handled by certified suppliers, ensuring 100% compliance with discharge standards. The company strictly adheres to regulations, meticulously completing the Hazardous Waste Transfer Form. Throughout the process, information regarding the characteristics, transfer, destination, and responsible personnel for hazardous waste management is transparent and accessible. This information can be easily obtained through the Environmental Information Disclosure Platform.

Key Measures for Hazardous Waste:
1.Discarded packaging containers, cleaning agents, wiping paper, scraps, activated carbon, and similar materials are entrusted to government-approved hazardous waste disposal companies for proper handling.
2.Laboratory waste is transferred to government-approved hazardous waste treatment companies for appropriate disposal.
3.The company legally transfers four categories of hazardous waste, maintaining complete transaction records and Hazardous Waste Transfer Forms to ensure thorough monitoring and traceability throughout the entire process.
